MFT & Friends- September 2018 release

I am very excited today to join the My Favorite Things team as part of their MFT & Friends feature, to help them take a fresh look at the recent September release.

Here's a look at the new Sending Prayers stamp set, and coordinating Die-namics Prayers die.

For my card today, I created the background using the Pure Plum Premium Dye Ink Refill and the Pink Lemonade Premium Dye Ink Pad (the ink had been smooshed onto an acrylic block) and water on a panel of watercolour cardstock. Then I stamped flowers, stems and leaves from Painted Prints using Pink Lemonade, Pure Plum, Ripe Raspberry and Field Day dye inks. The 'prayers' sentiment was die cut twice from Pure Plum and white cardstock and glued together, then adhered using foam tape. The rest of the sentiment was heat embossed in white on Field Day cardstock. A final touch was clear sequins scattered across the card front. The entire panel was glued to a Pure Plum card base.

How about a close-up of the stamped flowers? Even though my watercolour background was dry, the paper must have held enough water that the stamped flowers 'spread' slightly. That's ok. It gives it an even more watercoloured look. Happy mistakes, right?

Thanks so much for stopping in today! Make sure you check out the MFT & Friends blog post here to check out inspiration from other friends and the MFT Design Team.
