Stellar Human!

Happy Wednesday! I'm popping in quickly to share a card using more alcohol inks. There are just so many possibilities with them and I'm LOVING it.

For my card today I flicked some white acrylic paint onto the inked background. Once dry, I adhered it to a white card base. I die cut the 'hello' from gold glitter paper and added the stamped sentiment. For the small star, I die cut black cardstock, covered it with black Wink of Stella glitter and added Glossy Accents on top.
That bold and sparkly 'Hello" is PERFECT against the inked background. I thought the stamped 'stellar' sentiment lent to the celestial looking card too.

I'm linking up to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge- Anything Goes.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping in!

Layer it Up!

Happy Wednesday everyone! I fell into the alcohol ink rabbit hole like so many of us cardmakers out there. Did any of you have them kicking around, dusty in the bottom drawer from ten years ago like I did? I guess I can tell my husband that's why I shouldn't throw anything out! ;)

After a session of playing around with a few different colours of alcohol ink, I made several backgrounds to come back to when I was feeling inspired to use them. I used one of them today for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge- Layer It Up

A Papertrey Ink cover plate die was perfect to layer over top of the colourful background. The sentiment is from Big Scripty Greetings by Simon Says Stamp and is layered over another circle mat and some pretty leaves die cut from sparkly gold paper. I love it! Are you going to play along too? I can't wait to see what you make. :)

Thanks for stopping in today and have a great day!

Mail It Monday with Kimberly Crawford

It is Mail it Monday and I am so happy to be helping my friend Kimberly Crawford out with this fantastic series! Kimberly asked me to talk a little about Postable and why I use it for storing my addresses online.

Like many of you, I am a cardmaker that sometimes forgets to send those pretty little creations out in the mail as much as I should. Tracking down addresses has been a deterrent to mailing out those beauties and I have found an address storage solution that is easy and free!

Pop on over to For the Love of Paper and see what I had to say!

*Not an ad or asked to promote Postable by the company itself...I just really like it!

Inspired by All the Little Things #78

Welcome to more fabulous inspiration from the Inspired by All the Little Things team!

Isn't that a pretty pink inspiration photo? So floral, very feminine, and yummy looking. So pretty I could hardly eat one...yeah, I would totally eat one. This week I was inspired by the pink, white and mint colours and the quatrefoil design which made me think of intricate die cuts.

For my card today I used the lovely Wildflower Corner die by Memory Box and adhered two of them to opposite corners over top of a pink card base. The sentiment is from Painted Inspiration by Altenew. After I stamped it, I die cut it and the mint cardstock from oval nesting dies by Spellbinders and adhered them using foam tape. A few flat-backed white pearls finish it off.

This is a bi-weekly challenge so the challenge and winners posts will publish
on the first and third Saturdays of every month (There will be no challenge if there is a fifth Saturday in a month). Our guest designer will stay on for the entire month and play along in both challenges.

We would love it if you played along with us. I can't wait to see what you create! Link up your creation at the main Inspired By blog.

Best Hugs

School is back in session, after one minor hiccup of the first day back having buses cancelled...this momma needed a lot of coffee that morning. We are all back to our usual routine and for me that means cardmaking! Yay!

For my card today, I used the All About You stamp and die set from My Favorite Things. I stamped the sentiment on a Stitched Mini Scallop circle and popped up the YOU using foam adhesive. The circle was adhered to the card base which is Blue Jay cardstock from Lawn Fawn. The little hearts are also from Lawn Fawn. A few clear sequins finish it off.

I'm playing along in two challenges today:

Color Throwdown using navy, aqua and pink (SO pretty!)

and CASology- HUG

Have a great day friends! Thanks for stopping in.

Inspired by All the Little Things- back from our winter break!

Welcome back from our little holiday vacation, and get ready for more fabulous inspiration from the Inspired by All the Little Things team!

There are few changes to the challenge for the New Year and I think you'll find it makes it easier to play along and I am excited about that! First, we are now running bi-weekly challenges so a new inspiration photo will occur twice a month. Our guest designer will stay on for the entire month and play along in both challenges. Easy peasy!

Now onto the inspiration!

I was inspired by all the little bits of greenery and flowers in between the animals, the softer colours, and the layout. After stamping my sentiment in a pale pink using the MISTI, I added in all the flowers and leaves around it. I love a one layer card that is easy for mailing, and this one packs a pretty punch!

CASology- Encourage!

I have one last week of winter break before the kids go back to school and am happy to find a little creative time while they amuse themselves with all the snow outside!

How fun to start 2018 off by participating in the CASology challenge- ENCOURAGE

I used the Stamp Market Brushy Upper Alphabet set to create my sentiment (with help from my MISTI), and added a black heart and some clear sequins. The heart has a little sparkle on it from Stickles. I had to incorporate some purple on my card seeing as Pantone's Color of the Year is Ultra Violet. It's not a colour I go to often, but seeing some of the combos it can be used in is inspiring!

Thanks for stopping in today! Don't forget to check out my Seasons Givings Blog Hop post for a chance at two giveaways!
