New release! CAS-ual Fridays Stamps & Truth Bloom Fri-Dies

Welcome back! Today CAS-ual Fridays Stamps is giving a sneak peek of the lovely Truth Blooms Fri-Dies which pairs with the fabulous Truth Is stamp set. The best part of this release is that it is available to buy the SAME day we show it! It's in the store right now and it's 15% off!

If you start over at the store blog you will see that some of the ladies used the dies in some REALLY creative, amazing ways! I took a more traditional route for my card and die cut them from white cardstock, heat embossed in black, then watercoloured it all in. I love the bold, fresh look to this creation! Truth Is & Truth Blooms just *might* be my new favourite CFS stamp/die combo!

New release! CAS-ual Fridays Stamps & Bubble Box Fri-Dies

Welcome back for another day of previews! Today CAS-ual Fridays is releasing Bubble Box Fri-Dies AND it's 15% off! No code needed and prices are good throughout the weekend.

I paired Bubble Box with some pretty papers and the Wallflower set. I love the rounded corners on this one...so elegant and classy. The largest die in the set is perfect for a card base in itself!

Pop on over the CFS blog to see what the other ladies have whipped up using Bubble Box and don't forget to shop 'til you drop! See you tomorrow!

NEW release! CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and Flurry Fri-Dies

Happy day after Turkey Day! I hope all of you American friends had a fantastic Thanksgiving. Are you stuffed? :) If you are not out there elbowing others amongst the crowds looking for good deals, then never fear... keep reading because CAS-ual Fridays Stamps has a deal for you!

There are some great Fri-Dies being released this month so stayed tuned today and the next few days for some fun product coming your way. The best part is that it's available the same day we sneak peek them! Woohoo! Immediate gratification lol!

Today we're showcasing the new Flurry Fri-Dies. Check out that snowflake:

Flurry includes a gorgeous set of three snowflakes, one of which I've used here as a dangling ornament. After die cutting, I heat embossed it twice in gold and punched a small hole to thread the string through. It can be detached from the card and hung on the tree.

Wait! Earlier I mentioned a deal didn't I?! Today's new release Flurry Fri-Dies is 15% off through the weekend, no code needed! Go! Spend! Die cut! Enjoy! :)

Publications news

Inspirational cards don't need to be old-fashioned and frilly...nope, they can be downright bold and in yo' face. This card was chosen for publication in the March issue of Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine because of its "a$$ kicking nature" (direct quote from the Creative Editor herself).

I get to show it here today because we all know that sadly there will be no more issues of this amazing magazing after the February 2015 issue. *tear* Anyway...ya'll get to see it here instead, so enjoy!

Happy Monday folks and thanks for stopping in!

CFS Feature- Let it Snow

It's my turn today to share with you a CAS-ual Fridays Stamps project.  I have winter on the brain (don't hate me!) and I love stretching my stamps so I combined both today for a pretty winter card.

All of the photopolymer pieces in Snowflake Greetings are cut perfectly so that you can turn them over and stamp the backside (am I the only one who laughs when I hear 'backside'??) for a fun effect. That's what I did here for most of the large, medium and small snowflakes included in the set. After wiping them off, I turned them over and stamped them again on top the "right' way. A few extra snowflakes here and there, some sequins, and a pretty embossed sentiment finish the look off. How easy it that?! Try it!

Thanks for stopping in today and if the fluffy white stuff has been drifting down in your neck of the woods try to enjoy it! Pull out the mittens and go make some snow angels. :)

All Things Metallic From the Craft Room!

This weekend was very productive, cardmaking wise. Usually I don't work so hard at it; it IS a hobby after all, but I'm selling my creations at an upcoming craft/vendor sale at our local elementary school and I want to make sure I have enough stock for the day! My husband travels for work and had been away for 33 days (looooongest trip EVER; sanity- GONE) and FINALLY got home so the kiddos were all about daddy and left me alone to create. :) A win-win situation for everyone.

I played along in some challenges while I was creating and just LOVED the look of this inspiration picture for the Altenew November challenge. All those pretty bits and pieces gave me loads of ideas, but I stuck with a general colour scheme that was similar, and took hints from the floral and metallic elements.

I stamped some flowers and leaves from the Painted Flowers set and once the ink was almost dry, sprinkled gold embossing powder over the leafy areas. This left powder not *quite* covering all the leaves and gives it kind of a grainy look which is really cool. The sentiment from Label Love was embossed in gold as well.  Other fun stuff? White spray mist sprayed and smeared around, some gold thread, and a random half of a bronze leaf from my stash.

I used so many gold touches that I thought it would be perfect for linking up to this month's Virginia's View challenge #9- All Things Metallic!

Gratitude is the right attitude

Happy Sunday folks!  I gleefully spent yesterday in my corner making cards all day without many interruptions. I LOVE when that happens. Today's outlook looks similar so it must be card-making heaven that I'm in this weekend. :)  Mind you, there has been ZERO work done around the house and it looks like a disaster but sacrifices sometimes need to made for the sake of paper and ink.

I think I've set a personal record for fastest challenge completed and uploaded. Today starts the newest Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge and I'm here with my Anything Goes card.

I stamped and embossed the flowers from Blossoming Buds in white, then used my Peerless Watercolors to paint it in. The sentiment is nice and bold in black ink and the whole panel is mounted on a pink card base using foam tape.  All in all an easy card to put together but it packs a pretty punch.
