Sing Your Art Out!!

Welcome to "Sing Your Art Out" sponsored by Hambo Stamps! Today Hambo friends, customers, and the Bacon Bits Design Team are bringing you fun creations that depict song titles! It might be our favorite song, or just one that was fun to design.

If you arrived here from Paige you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start back at the beginning at the Hambo blog to make sure you are eligible for the hopper prize!

A prize will be awarded to one participant whose song-themed creation tickles the Bacon Bits’ fancy in a singin' wingin' way! Another prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on all the blogs along the hop. The winners will be announced on the Hoedown blog, as well as on the Hambo company blog, Talk to the Ham, on Wednesday, September 21. OH, and did you know you can follow Hambo on Twitter now at @HamboStamps?! Coooool!!!

I chose the song "Landing in London" by 3 Doors Down (featuring Bob Seger) and chose to give my card a 'missing you' theme. The song is pretty melancholy and lonesome (hopefully my card isn't as sad looking, haha), but has a gorgeous melody and I looooove Bob Seger! :)  You can hear the song on You Tube here.  A sample of the lyrics are:

I woke up today in London
As the plane was touching down
And all I could think about was Monday
Maybe I'd be back around

I used the Skyline image (it's BIG!) and coloured it in with Copic markers.  I decided to make the card a WHOLE lot cheerier than the song is; doom and gloom and Hambo just don't mix!! :) See that lonely one single light left on? Maybe that person is waiting up for their loved one to come home... :)

Now it's time to warm up those vocal chords and be prepared to sing! Now hop on over to Leslie for another great sing-along song!

I think this card is wonderful...you are right about the doom and gloom not matching Hambo...BUT I think that makes you even more diverse that you can create a miss you card with such a feeling...I love it, good jib!
