Birthday Banner

I made this banner for my daughter's 1st birthday last Monday. I had it hanging in the entry way from our kitchen to the living room so all the guests had to pass under it on their way through. I could not find a Happy Birthday banner that I liked to matched the theme of her birthday- which was a 'tea party', so I made this one with colours that were soft and sweet just like my Robin! :)

Supplies:
Paper: coloured cardstock (Bazzil); designer paper (Papertrey Ink, Making Memories, DCWV); white paper (Papertrey Ink)
Other: Large scalloped circles, patterned paper circles (Cricut); white circles [Basic Shapes 1], letters [Fonts] (Slice); flowers (Prima); clear baubles (Stamping Bella); gems (Zva); brads (misc.)

Dad's birthday

Well, not my dad's birthday, but my children's dad aka my handsome hubby. :) We are a 'flying' family meaning my husband and son are just crazy for airplanes, remote control or real- so I felt this little airplane from Unity Stamp Co. was appropriate. I stamped the sentiment inside the banner and cut out everything once it had been coloured. The chipboard letters were coloured using my Copics. My children gave this card to my husband this past Sunday on his 30th birthday.

Supplies:
Stamps: airplane and banner (Unity Stamp Co.); Birthday Basics (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Chai, Aqua Mist (Papertrey Ink); Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); Copics
Paper: Vintage Cream (Papertrey Ink); Earth Love (Cosmo Cricket)
Other: Chipboard letters (Basic Grey); foam dimensionals

It's your day!

Yesterday my husband turned 30 years old and he was moving a little slower than usual after the birthday celebrations the night before... :) This is the card I made for him. He told me he wanted a card with no extra embellishments (I actually think that was his way of telling me not to BUY anything else...hmm?), so this is what I came up with using only cardstock, a few basic supplies and tools.

Details: I stamped my backgrounder right onto the Rustic Cream cardstock in Antique Linen ink. I used a SU! 1/2" circle punch to cut out the Granola circles and covered them with Stickles glitter. I distressed the edges of the circle that the sentiment is on and inked all edges with Chamomile tea dye ink.

Supplies:
Stamps: Cracked Montana Earth backgrounder (CHF); Star Prints (PTI)
Ink: Antique Linen (Ranger); Dark Chocolate, Chamomile (PTI)
Paper: Rustic Cream, Kraft (PTI); Granola collection (Basic Grey)
Other: foam dimensionals; Checkerboard punch (Martha Stewart); 1/2" circle punch (SU!); Nestabilities (Spellbinders); Funky circle frame (Provocraft); Stickles (Ranger)

Happy Birthday Robin!

ETA: I have NO idea why this picture has ended up so small...I guess you should click on it to get the "bigger picture" so to speak...

This birthday card is for my daughter Robin who turns ONE on Monday! Holy moly, how time flies! She is such a sweet little doll and so much fun. I can already tell she will go on to do great things...enough mushy mommy talk. :)

I used Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake Challenge #42 for my inspiration for this card. Lots of peachy-tones, swirls and girlyness. I paper pieced the cupcake base with Pretty Pastels designer paper, and added LOTS of glitter to the top of the cupcake instead of colouring it.

Supplies:
Stamps: Baby Button Bits, Women of Life (PTI)
Ink: Melon Berry, Chamomile (PTI); Tuxedo Black (Memento); Copics
Paper: Melon Berry, Vintage Cream, Pretty Pastels designer paper (PTI)
Other: Melon Berry button (PTI); glitter (Making Memories); Ribbon (misc.); Divine Swirls embossing folder (Provo Craft); scalloped border punch (SU!); foam dimensionals

You're Just the Best!

This birthday card uses Papertrey Ink's Blooming Button Bits...except I did NOT use buttons! That's what is great about this set- the possibilities are endless. Buttons, bling, punched circles, whatever you can think of!

This weekend is a busy one for our family. My husband turns 30 and the next day my daughter turns ONE! I can hardly believe a year has flown by since she arrived. :) So needless to say, there will be lots of birthday celebrations AND a few birthday cards to post in the next day or two. Have a great weekend everyone!

Supplies: (all supplies Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted)
Stamps: Blooming Button Bits
Ink: Dark Chocolate, Spring Moss, Chai
Paper: Kraft, Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream, Turning a New Leaf designer paper
Other: Circle punch (SU!); Nestabilities (Spellbinders); Stickles (Ranger); brads (Making Memories)

Pure Innocence- My Balloon

This is just the sweetest image from the Pure Innocence line by My Favorite Things. I was inspired by a card from Dawn McVey that used similar colours and so I came up with my own creation based on that. Layered buttons add a little bit of detail instead of a sentiment for this card.

Supplies:
Stamps: My Balloon (My Favorite Things)
Ink: Copics; Tuxedo Black (Memento); Chamomile (Papertrey Ink)
Paper: Aqua Mist, Pure Poppy, Stamper's Select, Simple Valentine designer paper (Papertrey Ink)
Other: Nestabilities (Spellbinders); Hibiscus Burst ribbon, buttons (Papertrey Ink); gems (Kaisercraft); foam dimensionals

Bella and her baby...

Here comes Bella pushing a baby carriage...wouldn't you love to be receiving all those fab baby goodies that Bella is pushing around?? Um, not me! :) I'm done with all that...time to sell or give away everything we're done with- I'm going to live vicariously through my good friend Katie who is expecting her 3rd baby this summer. That is who this cute Bella is for- my first time inking it up (finally!).

Supplies:
Stamps: Babycarriagebella (Stamping Bella)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento); Chai (Papertrey Ink); Copics, Spica glitter marker (Copic)

Be mine Stella!

How much do I love Stella?? LOTS! This is one of my favourite Stamping Bella lines of stamps- right up there with the original Bellas. Stella was coloured with Copics and Spica glitter markers while the border around the main image was hand drawn with a black Zig marker. The heart and tag were cut out using my Slice machine (love it, love it, love it!)-- I should have used different paper since it kind of blends in but oh well... :)

Supplies:
Stamps: Stella doing a Balancing Act (Stamping Bella); Simple Valentine, Polka Dot basics (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Mushroom (Ranger); Copics, Spica Markers (Copic); Tuxedo Black (Memento); black marker (Zig); Raspberry Fizz (Papertrey Ink)
Paper: Kraft, Raspberry Fizz, Stamper's Select, Simple Valentine designer paper (Papertrey Ink)
Other: Border punch (Fiskars); Nestabilities; Slice machine (Making Memories); Sweet Blush button (Papertrey Ink); twine (misc.); gem (Kaisercraft); foam dimensionals

Celebrate Today!

Another card for the Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake Challenge...this time #41. You should go check out the yummy inspiration picture this week. Don't those cupcakes look just divine??
I chose to stick with similar colours (kind of...) and use cupcake paper for my project. I used this SWEET Stamping Bella image that I 'borrowed' from my mom...thanks mom! Her name is Ella LOLLIPOP and I'm pretty sure this is what my sweet pea Robin will look like in a few years. :) Other details- I cut the brown trim around the main image by hand, and used a neat ruffled ribbon treatment that I saw a few different places here in blog-land and secured it with Scor Tape.

Supplies: Stamps: Ella LOLLIPOP (Stamping Bella); Mixed Messages (Papertrey Ink) Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento); Melon Berry, Chai (Papertrey Ink); Copics Paper: Brown (Bazzil); Nook and Pantry (Basic Grey); Stamper's Select, Kraft (Papertrey Ink) Other: Nestabilities (Spellbinders); brads (Basic Grey); circle punch (Marvy); Melon Berry ribbon (Papertrey Ink); Stickles (Ranger); pearls (Kaisercraft); Scor Tape

These cuuuuuuute little invitations are for my daughter Robin's first birthday party coming up at the end of January...I just LOVE how they turned out!

I found the template for the teacup on SCS here, and searched 'tea party' themed wording on the 'net and found this cute one- "It would suit me to a "tea" if you'd celebrate with me!" Ink: Sweet Blush (PTI)
Paper: Sweet Blush, Vintage Cream (PTI)

Be an inspiration...

I LOVE my new photo/light box that I received for Christmas from my fabulous husband. It is so easy to set up (although rather large) and use, and I noticed the difference right away in the quality of my pictures. No more going outside to take pictures and having to wait for a sunny day!!
Diplomafella was coloured using Copics and matched to Cosmo Cricket's The Boyfriend line of papers. The Unity sentiment just jumped out at me and begged me to be used with this cute fella. :)
Supplies:
Stamps: Diplomafella (Stamping Bella); sentiment (Unity Stamp Co.)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento); Chai (Papertrey Ink); Copics; Spica glitter marker (Copic)
Paper: True Black, Vintage Cream (Papertrey Ink); The Boyfriend papers (Cosmo Cricket)
