No stamping on this one!! These would be fast to mass produce, so I think I might just go ahead and get started on that! It never hurts to have oh, a hundred or so birthday cards lying around... that's how many I will be making for an up coming craft sale in November. This is how I justify my purchases to my hubby... "See, I'm making MONEY out of it!!" Hmmm, methinks he doesn't believe me. :)

Sending birthday butterfly wishes...

A very obvious CASE from another Splitcoaster...loved it! Not much explanation here, but just in case- each butterfly was inked using Papertrey's Vintage Touch Inking System.

Winning the workbox...

Well, you all know how much I love my little dearies, Jake and Robin. So much so, I have made them the focus of this post over on Splitcoaststampers.

The joys of motherhood...right now I'm listening to my 8 month old daughter scream her head off. She slept so well from 3-7 months old that we bragged to everyone what a great baby she was...well, I think she is trying to teach us a lesson of some sort. She just WON'T SLEEP!!! ACCKK! Needless to say, I've been too busy/bugged-eyed the last few days to post, so here I am quickly getting this card up before my little beast wakes up from one of her 10 minute naps.

Home is Where the Heart is

I love this set by Unity Stamp Co. So fresh and sweet. Actually, I think ALL their stamps are like that!!
I almost had this card completely put together and decided it needed something 'more' so I added the backgrounder from CHF at the last minute. It just keeps it from looking too plain. The scalloped border I covered in glue, then clear glitter for a frosty look. The red heart in the house I cut out and popped up, while the white dots were done using my gel pen freehand. With Deepest Sympathy

I never know how "bright" a sympathy card should be...usually I go for soothing and serene, but every once in awhile I think a bright colour should find it's way on to a sympathy card. I think the beautiful designer paper here tones down the vividness of the Summer Sunrise cardstock. On its own it's quite bright, but I think I accomplished a softer look with it on this card.

Always on my Mind

I love finding easy, beautiful cards to CASE. This idea comes from Michelle Wooderson. I made oooohhhh, about 20 of these. :) The only time consuming part was colouring the images. Changing the sentiment to pretty much anything you want will give you hundreds of possibilities!

Simple Sympathy

I've seen a lot of cards like this out there using In Bloom, so I thought I'd try some too. I mass produced these in various colour combinations, and also used a 'get well' sentiment on a few.

This was an easy, one layer card that is given an extra touch with an Enchanted Evening button.

To a Tea-Rific Friend

How sweet is this little mouse in tea cup from My Favorite Things? I picked this set up at the CHA Supershow (In July, in Orlando) and haven't used it yet, so wasn't it about time!? So great to colour, and I bet it looks great paper-pieced too. Things to note: I broke up the sentiment (it comes in one line) so it would fit better where I wanted it, and added some Stickles to the brads. The sketch is MFTSC80 over at SCS.

This was another grandparent's card, celebrating yesterdays Grandparent's Day holiday. My parents, who live next door to my husband and I, had my children overnight on Saturday so waking up to their grand kids was their present for the day...not sure if they really appreciated being up so EARLY, but I bet they had fun!

Happy Grandparent's Day!

Today is Grandparent's Day...at least my calendar says so. Must just be another 'Hallmark' holiday, but for those who love to stamp it is an excuse to play around with fun stamps and such!

I made this card for my mother-in-law. She calls my son her 'sugar pie' which always makes him grin and giggle. The 3 pies are for each of her grandchildren- my 2 and my nephew Ben. Every Thursday night she comes over and watches the kids and puts them to bed while I go to work- an amazing women and a wonderful grandma! Although...she does NOT like being called a grandma- she prefers Granna...what's the difference?? I don't know, but it makes her happy!

You're in my Prayers

I like the sentiment on this card..."You're in my Prayers" could be used for many reasons.

I stamped both the image and sentiment on glossy/shiny paper and heat embossed with clear powder. It turned out kind of 'muted' which works well for this card (although I didn't plan it!). The glossy paper is actually the back of the green printed designer paper.

Full of Wonder

This is my little punkin' Robin. :) I scrapped my son Jake every month for his first year and I figured I better do the same for her or I'll hear about it someday! :) This is her 5 month layout which features a picture of her on Canada Day. She is now almost 8 months old!

I used soooo many different elements on this page. The felt piece is Queen & Co. which I adhered using glue dots and brads. The gorgeous crystal swirl is Prima, and I finally used my fave rub-on ever that I have been hoarding, "Full of Wonder," by Daisy D's.

Autumn Abundance

Phoebe Ketto

Who says you have to pull out those Copics every time? Instead of colouring the image in with Copics, I stamped Phoebe Ketto in Dark Chocolate ink, cut her out using Nestabilities, and inked the edges using Chamomile ink. Those rich, thick, fabulous designer papers came from the Paper Pickle, as well as the ribbon.

Kaisercraft love...

Oh the fabulous finds at my local scrapbook store, The Paper Pickle. I love it, I love it, I love it! :) This gorgeous frame by Kaisercraft I picked up at the Pickle during my visit last week. I painted it black, sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and embellished it! I really like the way it turned out and will save it to sell at the community Christmas Craft Bazaar in November. I'm one of 'those' people who doesn't like the colour purple very much. Oh come on, I know I'm not alone. :) But I've used it here on this card, and I like the result!! Maybe I'll use it more often....hmmm...we'll see.
