I used the large scalloped oval Nestabilities for my card base, using white Stampers Select cardstock. The patterned paper is from the Bitty Baby Blessings 6x6 paper pack by Papertrey Ink and was cut out using plain oval Nestabilities. The sentiment is called Babies by Penny Black and is stamped in Lavender Moon ink, sponged with Summer Sunrise, and matted on Lavender Moon cardstock. Ribbon is satin Lavender Moon. All products EXCEPT for the sentiment and Nestabilities are from Papertrey Ink.
I made this card for my cousin who had her baby on Monday about 5 weeks early. My mom and I went up to visit them in the hospital and he's so small and cute and doing very well- keeping his own that's for sure. We're hoping he'll be home be the end of next week. :)

I used white Stampers Select cardstock from Papertrey Ink for my card base (they now have cream cardstock too!!) with patterned paper from the Bitty Baby Blessings 6x6 paper pack and Summer Sunrise cardstock matting it.
Ribbon is Summer Sunrise polka dot and the flower is Prima, and brad is from my stash. The sentiment comes from the Birthday Basics set by Papertrey Ink, and is one of my favourite fonts from that set.
As for happy news- yesterday I received my Papertrey Ink parcel finally and excitedly ripped open the box and tissue paper to find all the lovely stamps, ribbon and paper I ordered weeks ago. I'm SOOOO excited to try it all out!

I wish the actual stamping showed up better in this picture, but the ink does not appear so light IRL.
I cut Aqua Mist cardstock to 5 1/4" square and used that as my card base. Then came Stampers Select white cardstock for the next layer. On the white I stamped one of the images from Kim Hughes' Nature Silhouettes set 4 times using Aqua Mist ink. I added Diamond Stickles to the stems of the image. Then I stamped one of the sentiments from the set in black. The ribbon is Aqua Mist from Papertrey Ink, and the brads are actually mint green but look aqua next to the paper and ribbon- they are from the Two Scoops brads by Basic Grey.
I'm sending this card to my friends Mike and Emily who were engaged this past week while attending a Pearl Jam concert! Cool!!

This card uses Baby Buttercup from Stamping Bella and the Congratulations sentiment from MFT's Essential Sentiments stamp set. The main image I stamped in Brilliance Graphite Black and coloured in with my Copic markers. I added Spica glitter to the petals and leaves, but it really doesn't show up on the picture. I doodled around the edges with a black fine tip marker and matted it on Crate paper dp and Sweet Blush cardstock. The patterned paper is also Crate paper, and the card base is the coordinating colour from the patterned paper- I love that by the way- it ensures your colours are matching exactly the way they should! :) Ribbon is misc. from my stash, and the clear baubles are from Stamping Bella. I stamped the sentiment 3 times and matted it to Sweet Blush cardstock, cut out using my Marvy scalloped rectangle punch. And done!

This card uses Lavender Moon cardstock, Bitty Baby Blessings patterned paper, Lavender Moon polka dot satin ribbon, Lavender Moon ink, Polka Dot Basics stamp set, Mixed Messages stamp set (Sweet Baby sentiment) and the Out on a Limb stamp set. I also used Pinecone Versacolor ink, oval and scalloped oval Nestabilities, and my corner rounder.

This card is for my dad. I used the Father Knows Best stamp set by Papertrey Ink, paired with Basic Grey Boxer papers. I stamped the tree trunk in Pinecone Versacolor, and the open branches in black, colouring them in with my Copic markers, and using a dark green chalk to go over the rest lightly. The brads are from Making Memories, and the stitching I did with my paper piercer and a black marker.
Ten Years Ago: I was 16! :) Probably counting the days until school was over for the summer. 10 years ago this summer I went to Japan on a class trip and while I was there my house burnt down!
Five things in my "to do" list today: Well, I'm at work, so, let's see...get books started for our book exchange, start decorating the library for our Summer Reading Program, set out drop-in Father's Day card craft for children to do, call patrons to let them know their books are in, and maybe once I get home from work- make a card or two! :)
Snacks I enjoy: Popcorn, barbecue Ruffles chips (HAVE to be Ruffles), chocolate covered raisins, nuts n' bolts (my mom makes the BEST) AND of course Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter cups...YUM.
Things I would do if I was a millionaire: Build a new home with a state of the art craft room, buy a new vehicle, pay off the VISA, pay off the last amount of my student loan, save some for the kids education and save the rest (I'm much more frugal than my husband whom I sure would spend it all in a day)
Places I have lived: My childhood home here in South-western Ontario, Ottawa while I was in university, and then 3 homes with my husband- all within 2 miles of each other- small moves each time!
Okay, I'm NOT going to tag anyone because I reallllly don't like doing these things!!

It looks 'manly' doesn't it? I used the Classic Pickup Truck image from Little Paper Shop, paired with Basic Grey Boxer papers. Ribbon is misc. from my stash, and the brads are Making Memories. I stamped the image in black and coloured it in with my Copic markers. All edges are inked with Antique Linen distress ink by Tim Holtz. I can't decide what to get for my husband for Father's Day. Our little guy Jake is too young to pick out something himself so I'm going to have to pester my brother-in-law for some hints!

I made this card for the My Favorite Things Guest Designer Challenge for July. The challenge was to use black cardstock and a black embellishment and I think I fulfilled both those requirements! The card itself is 5 1/4" square and uses Sweet Blush are the base. The black I ran through my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and used my ticket punch on the corners. The image is from the She's Having a Baby set by MFT, as is the sentiment. I matted it on shimmery black cardstock and a pink scalloped rectangle cut out with my Nestabilities. It was actually too long of a die cut, so I cut it in half and glue it back together 'shorter' to fit the image. The ribbon is Sweet Blush (pink) and the black polka dot is misc. from my stash.

This is Gardenia Greenthumb from Stamping Bella. When I saw her on the Bella website I immediately thought of about 10 neighbours who reminded me of her...so of course I bought her! :)
I paired her with Crate paper designer paper and Sweet Blush cardstock from Papertrey Ink. The ribbon is misc. from my stash. The baubles are from Stamping Bella also, and she is coloured in with Copic markers. Her wings have a neat dusting of Stickles on them- an addition I did after looking at the card for awhile and deciding it needed something 'more'. Hope you get out in your gardens like I'm going to this weekend!

Fun times...yesterday I helped my mom clean up her cardmaking room. Yes, a whole room (my old childhood bedroom in fact) devoted to cardmaking...and all it's CHAOS!! Oh my goodness. I think that woman has saved every single teeny tiny scrap of paper she has ever cut off something. What a HOARDER! :) She had THREE of some things!! So of course, I have NO qualms at all about organizing, purging, giving away and even keeping a little for myself :) I was merciless. She literally would pull things out of the garbage as soon as I threw it out!! I started LICKING things to gross her out so she wouldn't grab them back (yes, it was bad). I'm not silly though- anything salvageable went into piles of 'stuff to sell', and 'stuff to donate to the local library' and 'stuff for ME to sneak out'. Anyway, we had a lot of laughs, her room is now neat and tidy for the next 24 hours at least, and I"ll go back in 6 months to do it all over again! :)
This card was done using Bella Baby Bubble Bath and Nestabilities dies. Designer papers are from DCVW Nana's Nursery Baby Boy glitter stack. White cardstock is Papertrey Ink's white stampers select. I used my Copics to colour it in, and added Spica glitter to the bubbles. Add some shimmery ribbon from Offray and done!

Today I received packages from both Little Paper Shop AND Stamping Bella! WAHOOOO! The Little Paper Shop sent me the Grandparents stamp set because I won their blog candy last week! Lucky me!! Coloured flock, fellas and bellas, and more!!
